What is Counselling?

There are many different types of counselling and therapeutic support all of which aim to provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk about your issues and concerns.

I am primarily a person-centred counsellor which means i'm not here to tell you what to do.
  The way I see it we all have the capacity to grow, develop and find our own solutions, but sometimes we need a bit of help with that.

It's almost as if when there is a lot going on, things can get a bit tangled up, like a ball of wool in our heads, and that's why
 counselling can help!


My role as a person centred counsellor is to help you to explore and make sense of your situation, thoughts and feelings at your own pace so that you can start to see ways to move forward that might work for you.

If appropriate during your journey, I can also offer psycho-education to allow you to understand more about how the brain works and strategies to help you to move forward in your preferred ways.
